Q) Why Your Windows cause Problems for you and Your Family?

A) You have all those glass windows in your home so that you can stop the heat, cold, rain and wind from entering it. At the same time you want to be able to enjoy the outside view.

But your glass lets in the summer heat, ultra-violet (UV) rays that cause fading; glare that annoys your TV viewing; it also allows unwanted prying eyes to peer in. It allows your expensive winter heat to escape during the winter and it could allow burglars easy access to the inside of your home -- not ot mention the concern you have where glass and children's safety is a consideration.

To try and combat these problems most people would just draw the curtains or close the blinds-but this blocks out your view, and only partly solves some of these problems.


Q) What is our 'Window Insulation Film System'?

A) This is a three part home improvement system designed to give you relief from some or from all of the associated problems caused by your windows. This is achieved through the correct specification and application of our micro-thin, optically clear, UV absorbing polyester films.

Our system is individually tailored to suite your particular home's solar aspect, and its structural characteristics, while taking into account your need for security and your present heating and cooling set-up.

Q) How long does it take to tint the car ?

A) An average sedan takes between one and a half to two hours. Of course if there is old plastic film that needs to be removed it does take several hours longer depending on the old tint coming off?


Q) I have been quoted $180 for a lifetime tint by someone else. Why ?

A) Unless you have considerable experience with the various types of tints the average person cannot tell the difference by looking at them. Therefore it comes down to a matter of trust. There are numerous operators offering cheap tinting from their vans. Unfortunately they can be hard to locate again when the warranty work is then required. A warranty is only as good as the company who gives it. Tint-a-car has been here for over 29 years with branches around Australia. You can trust us to give you what you are paying for. Some companies avoid warranty obligations by changing their trading name. So Always ask " How long has the company been trading ? & has it changed names recently ? "


Q) I have been quoted much more by a large company for the top of the range. Why ?

A) Unlike other large organisations Tint-a-car is NOT a franchise. Therefore our branches don`t have to pay exhorbanant monthly franchise fee`s or royalties thus eliminating the need to pass on those ridiculous costs to our customers. In short, Tint-a-car offers it`s customers the Best products at the Best possible prices.


Q) I have seen some cars on the road with bubbly tint. Why ?

A) Cars fitted with plastic or dyed film will all bubble and blister eventually. It is not the quality of the instalation it is simply a low end quality product that only lasts a maximum of 3 to 5 years. Prior to todays metalised tints, all films were plastic or dyed.


Q) Will the film go all the way to the edge and will the rear window be in one piece ?.

A) On 95% of vehicles the film will go all the way to the edges and the rear window can be installed in one piece. The exception to this is a few rare vehicles where this procedure is not possible.


Q) What if I have 2 cars. Is there any discount ?.

A) Yes, if you do two cars in the top film on the same day some branches will give you $50 off each car.


Q) Will Tint-a-car match any other offers or quotes ?

A) Yes, of course. Tint-a-car can always match all of our competitors quotes and offers. Our head office is the importer for Australasia. So once again you get the best quality window films at the best possible prices. Furthermore, Tint-a-car will honour any coupons or discounts offered by our competitors. Always ask what brand of film they are using. Unfortunately the market today is flooded with cheap low quality window film. It is only after the film is applied and you have driven away when you start to realise the poor quality of these products. Always ask what brand of film they are using. If a cheaper film is what you prefer then we can always beat the price you have been offered by using a similar quality product.


Q) Does a mobile service cost any extra ?

A) No it doesn`t. However please remember that to have the mobile service come to you it is very important that you have the car placed in the following situation.


* Must be completely indoors.
* Must be bright lighting
* Very important to be completely free of any breeze or wind.
* Needs to be dust free and clean.
* Needs to be large enough to fully open the vehicle doors.
* We need access to power.
Note: Not all branches offer this service.

At Tint-a-car we want every car we do to be the very best. If any of the above conditions are not available at your premises it can affect the quality of the finished job. In that situation it is much better to have the car tinted in one of our workshops.

If time or committments are an issue, ask about our pick up & delivery service or courtesy car availability. Unfortunately the removal of old film cannot be done with the mobile service.
